I’ve always been a family orientated person and the most important thing in my life has always been my family. I used to always say I’m doing this for my family even though I didn’t really know what that meant then. As I get older and wiser that is becoming clearer and more apparent. When times get tough and I needed help I always had someone in my family to help me out. The lessons that my parents instilled in me went a long way. The other day my cousins and I got together spent time with each other, sat back and watched old video footage of us as kids; it was very heartwarming and wonderful food for our souls. We are all grown up now, however, I still remember those times we all spent together and cherish those moments. This year and beyond I want to preserve that. If anything, I would love for that legacy to live on. Some reason growing up in America we lose that and we strive to find our identity when it’s instilled right in us the whole time. I love our culture, our lifestyle, and our people. What I loved is that we are all different yet we come together in a sense as family and always had family parties. That is what life is about isn’t it? Since it’s winter time I will use a winter sport analogy here: Life is like snowboarding. It’s not about getting to the bottom of the mountain; it’s about how many runs can we do before its time to leave. We are here to enjoy our time, do great work, push the boundaries, and create great things. Sometimes the greatest creations are the life we forge for ourselves and our family.
